Clarifying the Direction of GO ASIA TRAIL

I am Kenji, the owner of GO ASIA TRAIL.

After the site renewal in October 2025, we have further revised the design and clarified the direction of the site.

About the design change

We have completely revised the site design. We have created a minimalist design. It is monochrome and designed to look and feel beautiful to anyone who sees it. The previous design, based on the existing open source website template, was overloaded with information, difficult to read, and had room for improvement in terms of aesthetics. After much trial and error, we adopted a minimalist approach that stripped away elements to achieve this clean design. The current design was created by generating multiple patterns in Gemini 3.0 Pro and brushing up the design from an engineer's point of view.

We believe that this minimalist design is also a major framework for defining the direction of the site's content. The top page, which is the entrance to the site, should be simple, and the articles, which are the main body of content, should be designed to focus the reader's attention. The content we convey will be sharpened accordingly.

Developing a Tagline and Brand Statement

Next, we thought a tagline and statement were necessary to define the direction of the site, so we set them up. Even after the site renewal, we were still struggling with what direction to take the site, but through looking back, we defined it. This is the tagline and brand statement that you can see in the hero area of the site's top page.

  • Tagline : JOURNEY THROUGH ASIA
  • Brand Statement: No competition, no rush. Feel the winds of Asia as you travel. A trail web magazine for weekend adventures and delicious side trips.

Running trails as if you were on a journey" - this is the concept that fits us best. Not in pursuit of race results, but as a way to enjoy life in my own way, freely and in my own way. This is what I have come to see from looking back over the past 10 years. In fact, looking back over the past 10 years of articles on this site, we have found that we have traced it that way. It is what we call " connecting the dots.

I will continue to share with you how trail running races in Asia and Japan look like from the perspective of an ordinary citizen runner - through my own eyes.

Regarding future content to be provided

In addition to the blog, we will continue to provide stock and collection-type content.

Blog posts and social media are flow-type (chronological) content. We will deliver fresh information in a timely manner. Social media is more immediate, and blog posts are more in-depth. On the other hand, stock and collection type are fixed pages that are updated as needed with guides and various types of information. We are preparing to offer some content this month and into the new year. We are also thinking of providing not only written content, but also audio and video content.

This site will be constantly evolving through trial and error, in a manner similar to agile development. We hope you will look forward to it.
